I'm a huge menage fan. Seriously I could read loads of them all the time and I try to keep them on my radar. The problem I have is the good ones tend to be expensive so I just tend to have the cheap/free novellas floating around on my Kindle. So this was one that popped up on my radar after being hyped on a few websites. It was reasonably priced so...here we are.

Nadia is an author of BDSM novels and when one of her fans becomes a stalker, she turns to bodyguards to protect her. Caleb and Jonas decide to watch over her and end up introducing her to her fantasies. As the stalker inches closer the three have to determine if they are just having fun or if a relationship could be the happy ending they were looking for.

I'm totally cool with heroines or heroes being authors in books. I actually really enjoy that trope and I tend to seek them out like they are my own catnip. So I was all over this one when I read she wrote BDSM romances. I was expecting this super savvy chick who had done some serious research. In the end I was kind of disappointed. It always seemed like Nadia read a bunch of BDSM books and was done with it. I'm not sure if she watched any videos or visited a BDSM club or anything. She seemed genuinely surprised by everything.

The other issue was the insta-love. I hate insta-love. Seriously Caleb and Jonas were ready to over up their hearts, bodies, and futures to Nadia after three seconds in an interview. So I was majorly bummed. I understand novella lengths but they were pledging feelings and futures and I was like "Thanks but no." I would much rather have them sort of commit to a dating/sex thing at the end rather than have marriage proposals. It just seems more realistic.

I also struggled with whether Jonas and Caleb worked at a security firm or a private investigators firm. I am almost positive it was a P.I. office at the beginning and somehow became private security later on. It's not a major issue but it does seem unrealistic they had no other jobs scheduled. They could just drop everything for this woman and not risk any business.

So while this novella was a fun afternoon read, it just bothered me more than others. There was a lot of unrealistic, hard-to-swallow plot points than other novellas or menages. While not a terrible read, there are better ones out there. So for the price, I wouldn't not recommend it but there are a lot of options out there.

Loved the book as I love all her books. Hit all my hot buttons,2 handsome Dims, an erotic author who needs protecting from a crazed psycho stalker, put it all together and you have an awesome READ! I was thrilled to have updates on my favorite characters from A table for three which was the beginning of this author's books. I loved the book. If you have not read it and you enjoy this genre buy it and read it. Innocence Defiled was my next favorite. Well actually I have loved them all. I hesitated on the last book because I thought that concept is one I could not get into to. Only lainey Reese could write the book in a way that was great. Happy reading you won't regret this purchase and the price? This is a gift.

I was so EXCITED when I saw that Lainey had a new title up as she is a favorite author of mine. She has the ability to write a dom/sub story where the woman doesn't come across as weak. I loved every page of this book, will read it again and again...I am crossing my fingers that there might be a new series coming out of this. An Added bonus is seeing characters from her NY series. If you haven't read it, your missing out on some awesoem reading.

Sheralyn develops the story nicely - it’s humiliating, frustrating, and extraordinarily erotic.

I have to admit, while this came highly recommended to me by one of our featured female masking authors, Sheralyn and I got off to a rocky start. The truth is, the book could use one more round of editing to deal with the spelling errors, misplaced words, and repeated sentence fragments. Fortunately, I was able to look past them, and I must say the overall story is more than enjoyable enough to warrant the extra effort.

Boy in a Dolls' House is the story of a rude, lazy, young man. He has no friends, no job, and (once his mother passes away), no life outside his Aunt’s home. He’s cold and abrupt to the woman who so graciously took him in, has no respect for her or her doll collection, and refuses to do anything to help out around the house or the museum. If there’s ever been a boy in need of correction, this is it, but it’s not until he breaks an irreplaceable doll that his Aunt comes up with a suitable punishment. With the help of some drugs she’s developed as part of her work researching suspended animation, Richard is going to become a living doll.

As much as I disliked Richard, I appreciated the way Sheralyn slowly established his love for all things frilly and feminine. He denies it, even to himself, but his erections keep giving him away. Forcing him to become a doll is an exquisite punishment, as it leaves him immobile and unable to speak, yet incredibly sensitive to the feel of panties, petticoats, and dresses. He may not be able to move, but his erection can, leaving him not just tormented by the public humiliation, but eternally sexually frustrated.

Sheralyn develops the story nicely, with Richard’s Aunt and lesbian lover conspiring to take his inheritance and keep him as a featured doll in their museum. We see how he succumbs to the thoughts and feelings of being a girly doll, and how hard he fights against those sensations. Trapped in a box, restrained by the same plastic ties as a real doll, he can only stand there and accept it as visitors increase his humiliation with every comment. I think what I appreciated most about it is that Sheralyn never relents, never steps back from the concept, and never gives in to allow him a moment of release. It’s humiliating, frustrating, and extraordinarily erotic.

A pretty useless 18 year old boy has to live with his aunt. He ends up in one of the most erotically thrilling situations I can imagine. His aunt opens a doll museum and he is forced to replace a life-sized doll that he has broken, becoming a living doll. Given the nature of the museum, most all of the visitors will be female, quite a few near his age.
