About the Author
Bob Frissell is a master rebirther and teacher of 26 years, whose books are regarded as underground spiritual classics. great information

This is the third bob Frissell book I've read, and it's my favorite. You Are A Spiritual Being has so much wisdom in it. With great clarity and compassion, Frissell explains what we truly are, which is not the story we've been told.

In a nutshell, we are immortal, spiritual, holographic pieces of our creator. Just as we give pieces of ourselves to create our children, so too does God give pieces of himself(or herself if you will) to create children to enjoy. Since we are pieces of God, we have the ability to grow into grand creators, making the world anything we wish it to be.

We've chosen to take on material bodies to experience the material world on the third dimension, the lowest dimension you can experience and still have consciousness. We humans have decided to dip down into the lowest level to see if we can bring light into the darkest part of creation. Kind of amazing when you think about it, and very powerful.

Frissell practices `rebirthing' and he talks in his first book about how to breathe right. While I dismissed this part of his first and second book, he explains in the third book that emotions are energy, and they're taken care of by the body.

The body needs oxygen to move the energy through the body. If emotions get stuck, they can close us down emotionally and harm us physically. Just as a pond of water can become stagnate with a constant inflow of clean water, so too can our bodies start to break down because of the toxins that become trapped.

I've read that cancer needs an acid/low oxygen environment to flourish, so I guess this makes sense. I've even seen acid on a microscope and it has sharp edges which seems to make sense. But back to the book, Frissell explains so much in this book that's hard to get it all in.

Here's a sample: "If you identify yourself as a powerless victim, it is as if you were giving a command to the universe to behave just as if this were so. The result: the entire universe conforms to that command and says yes to it, and you receive confirmation from it that you have no power. You get what you put out . . . That's how we create our reality." 719 of 1955 Kindle

I always loved the part about the war between Michael and Lucifer. Michael represents the right side of the brain. We're all one, let's create using our minds. Lucifer wanted to try something different. He wanted to create outside of himself, so he uses technology or the ego/left side of the brain.

Obviously we in the West are using our left brains to create our world, and we've all but wiped out the cultures that used their right brains. It's the advent of writing that started us down the Luciferian side of life. Mars used technology until they no longer could use their right side and lost their emotional side, their connection to God. They blew up their planet and came here thousands of years ago and have been a thorn in our side ever since. Our job is to love them into submission.

The title says it all

The title is worth the price of the book. "You are a Spiritual Being Having a Human Experience." If you know and appropriate this one sentence it will change your whole life. This book written in Bob's inimical clear concise style is a good book to wet one's appetite for Bob's other two books, "Nothing In This book is True, But it's Exactly How Things Are"(15th Anniversary Edition) and the companion to it "Something in This Book is True"(Second edition). I read this book first and then had to read Nothing and Something. A very important book to help us wake up and get into Unity Consciousness and emotional healing and get ready for our and Mother Earth's Ascenstion. I highly recommend you get this book and read it as soon as you can.

This book is small and stellar, just like a white dwarf. I strongly suggest the works "Nothing in this book is true, but it's exactly how things are" and "Something in this book is true..." also by the same author. We are, after all, spiritual beings having a human experience!
I loved it.

About the Author
E. E. Cummings (1894–1962) was among the most influential, widely read, and revered modernist poets. He was also a playwright, a painter, and a writer of prose. Born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he studied at Harvard University and, during World War I, served with an ambulance corps in France. He spent three months in a French detention camp and subsequently wrote The Enormous Room, a highly acclaimed criticism of World War I. After the war, Cummings returned to the States and published his first collection of poetry, Tulips & Chimneys, which was characterized by his innovative style: pushing the boundaries of language and form while discussing love, nature, and war with sensuousness and glee. He spent the rest of his life painting, writing poetry, and enjoying widespread popularity and success.

About the Author
John Jervis is Research Fellow in Cultural Studies at the University of Kent at Canterbury, UK. I have already made gains in my ability to function normally, and it lifted my spirits to be able to join in on the Holiday fun pain free.

Found an answer for every question I had about Lymphoedema

The book is an invaluable resource if one wants to know more about lymphoedema (localized fluid retention and tissue swelling), its possible causes, types, risk factors for the development and ways to minimize the risk of lymphoedema. There are plenty of useful information on the effect of lymphoedema on the skin and dealing with skin problems. A lot of attention is given to treatments for lymphoedema as a combination of manual compression lymphatic massage, compression garments (types of garments) and bandaging. Also, I found plenty of information about exercises, lymph drainage massage and additional treatments used in the management of lymphoedema.
Additionally, I have to admit that there are plenty of real life case scenarios, great references and websites for further reading. The book is well written and organized. Thank you

About the Author
David Morin is a Lecturer and the Associate Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Physics Department at Harvard University. He received his A.B. in mathematics from Brown University and his Ph.D. in theoretical particle physics from Harvard University. He is the author of five books, including Introduction to Classical Mechanics (Cambridge University Press, 2008), Electricity and Magnetism (Cambridge University Press, co-author, 2013), and Special Relativity: For the Enthusiastic Beginner (2017). When not writing textbooks, thinking of physics limericks, or conjuring up new problems whose answers involve e or the golden ratio, he can be found running along the Charles River or hiking in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. This book is awesome

This text is AMAZING!

This Harvard prof. was able to make probability fun for students, yet presented the material in a manner rigorous enough for any college/high school course.

I am familiar with over a dozen probability textbooks and they all present the material in the same way with the same tired arguments. This author must have thought long and hard about the best ways to present every idea. I am posting two figures that show just how much he's thought about teaching the subject: (1) I smiled when I saw this figure. After seeing this, I don't think students will mix-up permutations quite as much. (2) This figure shows how the Binomial, Gaussian, and Poisson distributions are related to one another via limits. This is difficult to teach, but this simple figures sums it up beautifully!
Looks like he's also spent quite a bit of time developing good exercises and problems in all chapters. More than enough for a single course.

The text is totally approachable, unpretentious, and it’s a fun read.
I’m thrilled I chose this text. I strongly recommend it to students and instructors alike.

For those interested in Probability this book guarantees that what you learn will always be useful and relevant.

If you have ever struggled with Combinatorics in probability books, the first chapter of this book will be a godsend.
The first chapter is 56 pages long. However, when it comes to teaching and learning probability, this is the most fruitful 56 pages that I have ever seen. If you have struggled with Combinatorics, like I have, reading Chapter 1 of this book should clear much of the fog. The author doesn't assume that the reader has relevant experience in Combinatorics, which he defines as "The study of how to count things."

The author avoids the irritating phrase "it can be shown that." Rather he shows you how to "count things" as he develops the relationships used to "count things." You may have encountered the relationships he develops in the past. However, the author's explanations provides more details which makes the concepts more plausible. For example, he uses Venn Diagrams when developing probabilities for dependent events and the Probability Square when developing probabilities for independent events. To some this may seem trivial and/or obvious. However, this may not be the case for those who are studying these concepts for the first time.

This book is written in a manner that covers a broad audience interested in learning probability. You should have a very good background in at least algebra. This book is designed for more than just scratiching the surface of Probability. This may be the motivation behind the subtitle..."For the Enthusiastic Beginner."

The seven Chapters cover:

Chapter 1....Combinatorics
Chapter 2....Probability
Chapter 3....Expectation values
Chapter 4....Distributions
Chapter 5....Gaussian approximations
Chapter 6....Correlation and regression
Chapter 7....Appendices

The author solves many example problems in each chapter as aids to learning. There are also end of chapter problems with detailed solutions. Each chapter ends with a summary, which precedes the end of chapter exercises. It is noteworthy that Chapter 3 involves topics that are encountered in statistics. This is an additional plus that emphasizes the relationships between probability and statistics. This is a five star book.

An Excellent introduction to Probability for a Beginner

I thought I had a good understanding of statistics, but soon realized I wasn't very good at reading formulas and didn't know much besides descriptive statistics. This book provides a gentle introduction to probability and ramps up to complex ideas quickly. Within the first hundred pages I realized I was comfortable reading formulas that would have intimidated me days earlier.

Kudos to the author for recognizing the need for a book about probability for students who forgot most of their math skills.

The cover art is also wonderful.

intention, invention: the creative process

For anyone fortunate enough to have seen the Donmar Warehouse production of RED with Alfred Molina and Eddie Redmayne it will come as no surprise that John Logan's script yields fresh fruit with each new reading. As literate and passionate exploration of the creative process, the play positively requires--demands--that most important aspect of art--the audience's participation, the audience's thinking. The immediate topical focus of the play, of course, is Mark Rothko, but its ultimate concerns lie far beyond the boundaries of one man's canvas. RED is a masterpiece.

All the quotations. All the questions.

I'm a sucker for think-pieces like this. I'm old fashioned enough that I actually want to be challenged by art. "Challenged"? Hell, I believe its essential to anyones proof of existence that they be willing to run directly at an oncoming train for the experience of being completely changed by the impact. And, yes, I'm the one with the father who would stand in the museums in the 1950's and say about abstract expressionism, "My kid coulda done that." Or, about Rothko, "If I painted a wall that unevenly, I'd be fired." Thankfully, I eventually moved to Houston and discovered the Rothko Chapel where I spent many quiet, dimly lit hours alone and in the company of friends with those paintings (thanks to Dominique deMenille). I returned to all of this (from New Hampshire) with the PBS broadcast of Simon Schama's Power of Art. The hour on Rothko's Seagram's Four Seasons mural was the climactic, eight episode in the series. All of the quotations are there. All of the questions are there. And the question of money and art gets a full-body slam. (Rothko famously told Philip Johnson, the architect, 'No one who pays that kind of money for that kind of food is going to see any paintings of mine,' and send the commissioning fee, the equivalent of $2 million, back.) Since I saw the Schama first and have watched it many times, I venture that the play dramatizes the contents of the Schama program (same source? collaboration between the authors? zeitgeist?) introducing the catalyst of an artists' assistant. No matter. If you're attracted to think pieces, especially think pieces devoted to contemporary (for me, anyway) art and contemporary issues in art, both the Schama and the Logan were created for you. Here's a two-engined train you should run at with all your might.

A brilliant play

I had read the play before seeing Alfred Molina's stunning performance on Broadway and the writing simply sang. Logan has created a true masterpiece with delicious roles for actors. A wonderful play and an engaging read! While Colette Freedman's Sister Cities used to be my favorite play, I believe it has been surpassed by this remarkably crafted aria.
